Born and raised in Vancouver, Joey has always known he has a passion for this city, and the people who make its culture possible. After completing his BA in psychology at UBC he discovered massage therapy and fell in love with the hands on and movement based approach to healing and recovery. He takes a theoretical approach to massage that focuses on blending and honouring traditional and contemporary massage styles to create a holistic healing experience. His current methodology contains a mix of Swedish, Myofacial, Deep Tissue, and Neuromuscular therapy techniques.

Outside of work, Joey competes in dragon boat at national and international levels, and enjoys outrigger canoe paddling and skiing as well as hiking with his Daschund. In working with his body through practice and recreation, Joey understands the effects of strain, stress and daily life and the power of a good massage to repair and remedy this.
